NON SEQUITUR STAMPS
Our History
We opened for business in May of 1996, after spending many months preparing (and dreaming of wealth and riches, LOL). We started with a line of unique single, mounted and unmounted images and seemed to be a big hit. We started our web site, built up a nice art gallery, and added a secure shopping cart.
By May of 1999, our little fingers were numb from mounting so many images, so we decided to reinvent ourselves (we got that term from a business magazine somewhere). That is when we decided to switch from singles to whole, unmounted theme plates. That is what you see in our current catalog.
Our art department (Lisette) is busy night and day finding new images to combine into theme plates. Our web department (Andrew) does web stuff from time to time, and encourages Lisette to "keep at it" (or else, LOL). When we get an order, our order entry department (Andrew) enters it into our computer database, and passes it on to our fulfillment department (Lisette), who jumps to it by putting the plates into envelopes and taking them to our shipping department (the US Postal Service). Before you know it, our sample art department (you folks) are busy churning out wonderful pieces of art to include in our art gallery.
We look forward to doing this for many years to come, until they finally pry us away and take us to a home. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy using our art, and welcome ideas for future plates.
Sincerely,
Lisette
P.S. I am especially grateful to the following people:
--My husband, Andrew, who continues to give generously to the daily operation of Non Sequitur. He does an excellent job maintaining our website and Art Gallery, does the bookkeeping and so much more.
--Melanie Allen, for her wonderful contributions in the form of sample cards, whose amazing and often whimsical creations can be viewed at our web site. It has been a delight in my life to receive Melanie's creations. She is a true inspiration for me and I hope for you as well.
--DK Stoneman, for the wonderful designs she has contributed.
-- And last but not least: YOU, our customers!
Lisette
